Kyrie Irving went ‘consecutive days’ without speaking to Cavs teammates, report says

Kyrie Irving’s disconnection with his team dates back further than initially believed.

It became increasingly apparent that the guard wanted out of Cleveland when he stopped talking to his Cavaliers teammates amid the team’s postseason run.

ESPN reported the deal includes a fourth-year player option for Wall, plus a 15 percent trade kicker. Wall confirmed the deal using the video platform Uninterrupted.

Wall, a four-time All-Star, just completed his seventh season in Washington, his most productive yet for the Wizards (23.1 points, 10.7 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game). For his career, he averages 18.8 points, 9.2 assists and 4.4 rebounds a game.

Wall was able to get the deal from Washington by virtue of making the third-team All-NBA team in 2017, the first time in his career. Wall joins players like James Harden in Houston and Stephen Curry in Golden State with his very own supermax deal.

With the extension in place, the Wizards locked up Wall for at least the next five seasons with that player option coming in the 2022-23 season. Washington will pay more than $90 million for Wall, Bradley Beal and Otto Porter Jr. in 2019-20 and it won’t get any cheaper after that but this is what it costs to keep a young core together.

The reason why I’m progressing is because it’s all about this. It’s not about clubbing. It’s not about going out. It’s not about anything but me progressing and making this happen, Mason Jr. said. My whole focus this past year has been making this shoe thing happen and it happened. I can’t say I gave ball all that. I cheated the game a little bit because I was super talented, but I was able to get by because of my talent.
